Chemise de nuit

This first disc was jointly produced by the non-profit organisation Oréiade ASBL  and the label Quartziade sought to be different and original.

It accompanies a book of poetry in honour of Louise de Vilmorin: a collection of texts set to music by Francis Poulenc and poems recited against background music for piano (the solo piano pieces are also provided without text in the bonus CD).

Recorded at the Liège University in July 2009, it showcases two young Belgian performers - the soprano Sabine Conzen and the pianist Marie Baudot. They approach this repertoire in a chamber music mood. They both focus on the words and the music as well as favouring spontaneity.

Sabine Conzen, who launched this project, stages her own interpretation of the poems by creating pictures suggesting a feminine soul torn between reason and folly. She is joined by Eric Bernard - Josselin, whose photographs illustrate the texts with great sensitivity.

Nightgown is a reflexion on the love of a woman–her joys, sorrows, fantasy, the passing of time... 

The subtle and colourful music of FP perfectly merges with Louise de Vilmorin's fantasy. It takes the listener into an extremely intimate atmosphere. Tinged by a deep and mysterious atmosphere, the photographs help us to enter this world full of charm.
